These Terms & Conditions apply to all ticket purchases and attendance at the Flight Mode Youth Ball. By purchasing a ticket, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to them.
1.1The Flight Mode Youth Ball is strictly for individuals aged 16–21 years.
1.2Attendees may be required to provide valid identification at entry to verify their age.
1.3Tickets may not be purchased or transferred to anyone outside the permitted age range.
1.4Flight Mode reserves the right to refuse entry where an attendee cannot provide satisfactory identification or does not meet the event's eligibility requirements.
1.5Attendees aged 16–17 may attend subject to the requirements of Takapuna Football Club and the conditions applying to the event's alcohol licence.
2.1Flight Mode does not sell, supply or distribute alcohol.
2.2Alcohol is available exclusively through Takapuna Football Club's licensed bar and authorised bartenders.
2.3Only attendees aged 18 years and over may purchase or consume alcohol, subject to applicable laws, identification requirements and venue policies.
2.4Attendees under 18 are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol.
2.5Purchasing alcohol on behalf of, supplying alcohol to, or sharing alcohol with an attendee under 18 is strictly prohibited.
2.6Attendees must not use another person's identification or otherwise attempt to circumvent age restrictions.
2.7The venue and its authorised bartenders are responsible for the sale and service of alcohol. Flight Mode does not operate or control the bar.
2.8The venue reserves the right to refuse alcohol service where required by law, its licence or venue policies.
2.9Attendees remain personally responsible for their behaviour and decisions, including those made after consuming alcohol.
3.1Flight Mode is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all attendees.
3.2All attendees are expected to treat other attendees, Flight Mode staff, volunteers, venue staff, security and performers with respect.
3.3Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, fighting, threatening behaviour, sexual harassment, unwanted physical contact and other inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
3.4Attendees must follow reasonable instructions from Flight Mode, venue staff, security personnel and emergency services.
3.5Flight Mode and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry or remove an attendee whose behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive or inconsistent with these Terms & Conditions.
3.6An attendee removed from the event due to misconduct will generally not be entitled to a refund.
4.1All interactions between attendees must be respectful and consensual.
4.2No attendee is entitled to another person's physical contact, personal information, social media details or continued communication.
4.3Attendees must respect another person's decision to decline an interaction, end a conversation or withdraw from an activity.
4.4Unwanted, threatening, intimidating or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate removal from the event.
4.5Attendees are encouraged to report concerning behaviour to Flight Mode, venue staff or security.
5.1The Flight Mode matchmaking activity is provided solely for social and entertainment purposes and is intended to facilitate introductions between attendees.
5.2Participation in the matchmaking activity is voluntary.
5.3Flight Mode does not guarantee that every attendee will receive a match or that a match will be suitable, compatible or mutually interested.
5.4A match or introduction does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee by Flight Mode of another attendee's character, intentions, suitability or compatibility.
5.5Flight Mode does not control or guarantee the outcome of any match or subsequent interaction between attendees.
5.6Flight Mode is not responsible for personal decisions, relationships, communications or interactions that arise between attendees as a result of or following the matchmaking activity, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
5.7Attendees are personally responsible for deciding whether to exchange contact information, communicate further or meet another attendee outside the event.
5.8Flight Mode cannot control interactions between attendees that occur independently of the event or after the event has concluded.
5.9Any attendee who experiences inappropriate, threatening, harassing or unsafe behaviour should report the matter to Flight Mode, venue staff or security.
6.1Flight Mode will coordinate with Takapuna Football Club to establish appropriate first aid, security and emergency procedures for the event.
6.2First-aid facilities and arrangements will be available in accordance with the venue's facilities and the requirements of the event.
6.3Attendees who become unwell, are injured or require assistance should immediately notify Flight Mode staff, venue staff or security.
6.4Security personnel will be present or arranged in accordance with the requirements agreed between Flight Mode and Takapuna Football Club.
6.5Security personnel and venue staff may intervene where necessary to maintain the safety and security of attendees and the venue.
6.6Flight Mode and Takapuna Football Club reserve the right to remove attendees where their conduct presents a risk to themselves or others.
6.7In the event of a serious incident or emergency, 111 and the appropriate emergency services may be contacted.
6.8Attendees must follow all reasonable instructions from Flight Mode staff, venue staff, security personnel and emergency services during an emergency.
6.9Flight Mode will take reasonable steps to support attendee safety. Attendees remain responsible for taking reasonable care of their own safety and the safety of others.
6.10Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any responsibility or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
7.1Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons and other dangerous or prohibited items are not permitted at the Flight Mode Youth Ball.
7.2Attendees must not bring any item that could reasonably create a risk to the safety of themselves or others.
7.3Security checks may be conducted where permitted by law and venue policy.
7.4Attendees may be refused entry or removed from the event if they possess prohibited items or substances.
8.1Photography and video recording may take place throughout the event for event documentation, promotional and social media purposes.
8.2By attending the Flight Mode Youth Ball, attendees acknowledge that they may appear incidentally in photographs or recordings taken at the event.
8.3Where Flight Mode provides an opt-out process for promotional material, attendees who do not wish to be included should follow the designated process.
8.4Attendees must not photograph, record or share content of another attendee in a manner that is invasive, threatening, humiliating or inappropriate.
9.1Attendees are responsible for their own personal belongings throughout the event.
9.2Flight Mode is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
9.3Attendees are encouraged to avoid bringing valuable or unnecessary items to the event.
10.1Attendees are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the event.
10.2Anyone who consumes alcohol must not drive.
10.3Attendees are encouraged to arrange safe transportation, including public transport, rideshare, taxis or a designated sober driver.
10.4Flight Mode is not responsible for an attendee's choice of transportation or conduct after leaving the event, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
11.1Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee entry where an attendee does not meet the event's age, identification, safety or venue requirements.
11.2Flight Mode and Takapuna Football Club reserve the right to refuse entry or remove an attendee where reasonably necessary due to: breach of these Terms & Conditions; unsafe or inappropriate behaviour; failure to comply with venue requirements; failure to comply with alcohol restrictions; possession of prohibited substances or items; or conduct that presents a risk to other attendees, staff or members of the public.
11.3Where an attendee is removed due to their own conduct or breach of these Terms & Conditions, no refund will be provided.
12.1All Flight Mode Youth Ball tickets are strictly non-refundable.
12.2Once a ticket has been purchased, refunds will not be provided for change of mind, personal scheduling conflicts, travel difficulties, illness or inability to attend.
12.3Flight Mode may, at its discretion, consider a refund in exceptional circumstances where an attendee is unable to attend due to serious, unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control.
12.4Requests for an exceptional-circumstances refund must be submitted to Flight Mode as soon as reasonably practicable. Flight Mode may request supporting evidence.
12.5Approval of an exceptional-circumstances refund is at the sole discretion of Flight Mode and is not guaranteed.
12.6Tickets may not be resold or transferred without prior approval from Flight Mode.
12.7If Flight Mode cancels the event, ticket holders will be notified and information regarding applicable refund arrangements will be provided.
12.8If the event is postponed or relocated due to circumstances outside Flight Mode's reasonable control, Flight Mode will communicate the available options to ticket holders.
13.1Each attendee is personally responsible for their own behaviour, decisions and interactions throughout the event.
13.2Attendees are responsible for complying with these Terms & Conditions, venue requirements and applicable laws.
13.3Attendees should exercise reasonable judgement regarding alcohol consumption, personal safety, interactions with other attendees and participation in event activities.
13.4Flight Mode cannot control an attendee's actions or decisions, particularly where those actions occur outside the organised activities of the event.
14.1Personal information collected through ticket purchases, registration or event activities will be handled in accordance with Flight Mode's applicable privacy practices and relevant New Zealand privacy requirements.
14.2Information collected for the matchmaking activity will only be used for the purposes communicated to attendees.
14.3Attendees should only provide personal information they are comfortable sharing.
14.4Attendees must not share another person's personal information without their permission.
15.1By purchasing a ticket to the Flight Mode Youth Ball, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
15.2By purchasing a ticket, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, the requirements of Takapuna Football Club and reasonable instructions from Flight Mode, venue staff and security.
15.3If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you should not purchase a ticket or attend the event.
